aR stories is Andres M Payan MFADT thesis project at Parsons The New School for Design. It mixes narrative, analog and interactive elements, using augmented reality as its medium. It is fun and easy to follow for the user. It is divided in two main interactions and the user experiences hem first hand without prior knowledge or instructions. Physical elements are manipulated to generate a multimedia experience.
This interaction is an augmented reality music installation that works with different layers of sound triggered by each marker. Each layer contains a music instrument with a different rhythm; I use drums, guitar and bass. These layers are also divided into two music genres(jazz and rock). The main objective of the interactive installation is to play with music and try to combine different layers of sound to make music based on the user’s intuition and personality.
